In October 2014 Siteserv Recycling took the decision to relocate its Head Office staff and Transport Fleet from its property at Pencoed to what would become a spacious and purpose built suite of offices at its Llandow storage facility.
A Project Manager was appointed to oversee the move and the relocation took place over the weekend of January 31st/February 1st with staff successfully seated at their new desks from 8 am on Monday, February 2nd.
A full time Receptionist was appointed ahead of the move, but otherwise all staff are seated together in one open plan office. Having a “line of sight” layout instead of having staff dispersed over several offices has improved both productivity and communication.
The new Head Office offers its staff modern facilities and provides the company with the necessary foundations and infrastructure to allow it to meet its ambitious sales targets and growth objectives.
The facilities include a boardroom, two meeting rooms, a reception area with Sky News on all day, a fully fitted kitchen, a dedicated communications room housing IT and telecom servers, as well as a large open plan office fitted with new furniture and equipment. External and internal doors are protected by a Door Access Control system and there are high definition CCTV cameras operating to provide additional security for staff, visitors, and vehicles.
The site also offers a substantial fuel tank for the fleet, together with a lorry wash facility.
“Triple Crown House” was chosen as the new name for “the hangars” in a competition open to all staff. The name is in memory of the Welsh Rugby Union fans who died in an aircraft crash at Llandow Aerodrome on March 12th 1950.
The fans were returning home from Dublin after seeing Wales beat Ireland in the “Triple Crown” match. Poignantly, the 65th anniversary of the disaster is this year.
