Siteserv have been working with Wilkinson for the past four years, focusing on providing pro-active and all-encompassing waste management solutions which not only minimise environmental impact, but provide tangible cost-saving benefits.
Wilkinson have shown a fantastic determination to maximise recyclable recovery and we are delighted that as a result of their hard work we have been able to achieve over 95% recyclable rates on their waste output . The environmental benefits of such a figure are obvious but this has also seen Wilkinson benefit with a more than significant 50% cost reduction on their waste management.
With over 250 tonnes of waste generated per month it is a great credit to Wilkinson that they have been so pro-active with regards to recycling and waste management. Our reporting system has allowed Wilkinson to keep track of LIVE information on their outputs, refining their operations and helping with any legislative requirements. Through simple segregation at source Wilkinson have directly been able to recycle over 7 tonnes of paper, 5 tonnes of metal and 3 tonnes of electrical equipment per month. We receive this material directly into our material recycling facility and process it fully before working with our partners to source the most environmentally friendly and cost effective form for its recycling.
Through installing our on-site compaction facilities we also deal with over 230 tonnes of monthly general waste from the company, which we run through our state of the art processing plant to screen and sort all recyclables for processing. Thanks to investing in the latest equipment and employing diligent and trained recycling specialists we have been able to achieve recyclable rates of over 90%, a fantastic achievement given that this figure would have previously been land-filled as "general waste" less than five years ago!
