FOCUS ON: Sort&Save - Our First 3 Months
With Sort&Save now three months old, Recycling Supervisor Steve Shaw talks us through the early progress at the scheme.
In our first three months here at Sort & Save hundreds of accounts have already been opened, meaning tonne after tonne of waste has already been recycled. Along the way we’ve met some amazing people who visit us, week in, week out, with their recycling. I must admit it’s an absolute pleasure to work with these pro-active, eco-friendly people,. Their enthusiasm and drive to help is fantastic. Whilst we thank everybody for their support some people such as Pauline Bishop, Roger Clevett, John Bryant and Philip Croad, require special mention as fine example of our ever-growing green family of Sort & Save recyclers.
We’ve also teamed up with numerous local charities and are very proud to be in partnership with these amazing groups of people who do so much good work in the LOCAL community. We now support such charities as Ty Hafan, Y-Bont, New Hope and Age Concern, who I know are very grateful for the help our customers have already provided. I encourage people to start donating their points gained recycling today…it really can make a massive difference!
Together at Sort & Save we have already achieved some phenomenal heights, demonstrated to the facts to the left of this article. We are extremely excited with what is possible over the next three where we are looking to enjoy significant growth and improve further on the facts provided. Hopefully we can double the amount of our customer accounts and in doing so continue to work together to make a massive impact.
We would also like to team up with more charities, and in doing so help support their worthy causes, raising interest in what they’re trying so hard to achieve. As a company we want nothing more than to make recycling fun, convenient and easy for everybody in the community and together who knows what we can achieve. One thing we can guarantee is that here at Sort & Save we’ll keep plugging away towards a brighter greener future.
